Seminar on Construction Law for Justices & Judges in Nigeria

Our Lead Counsel, Ewuwuni Onnoghen-Theophilus (Mrs), was one of the Resource Persons at the just concluded 1st Annual National Seminar on Construction Law for Justices & Judges in Nigeria which held in Abuja on 30 -31 May, 2018. The Seminar, organized by the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in collaboration with Archtech Projects and Logistics Ltd, was themed “Laying the Foundation for Effective Dispute Resolution in the Nigerian Construction Sector”.

It had in attendance a cross-section of Justices of the Supreme court of Nigeria, Court of Appeal, & the Federal High Court. Also in attendance were professionals in the built environment (Civil Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Builders, etc). The Seminar is the first of its kind and ushers in a new dawn in the development of Nigeria’s jurisprudence on Construction Law.

Our Firm is proud to have participated in the Seminar and we applaud the administration of the NJI for identifying the need for a Seminar on this technical and less explored area of law with the primary objective of getting our learned jurists famiar with the intricacies of the sector. We look forward to next year’s Seminar.
